SELF PROMOTION MAGAZINE
This magazine was created for my senior portfolio show and represents a deeply personal body of work. It provided an opportunity to engage with prompts intuitively, allowing curiosity to guide the direction of each piece. The publication is intentionally curated to embrace playfulness, highlighting an interest in experimentation and the more dynamic, tactile possibilities within print and design.
Throughout the process, I continuously revised the spreads—removing certain pages and introducing entirely new ones. This iterative stage was one of the most enjoyable parts of the project, as it allowed for experimentation and refinement.
The main body text is set in Courier New, reflecting the typography used in my resume and business cards. I chose this typeface for its editorial quality and consistency across my personal branding.
The final step was physically assembling the magazine. I used three grommets per copy, which required hand-punching and setting each page individually. I especially enjoyed engaging with the production process, as it added a tactile, hands-on dimension to the overall design experience.
