MANIFESTO
This was one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on. It allowed me to explore my personal style by building the design around my own words. For this project, I wanted to challenge what I already knew by combining analog and digital design processes. I used woodcut typography as the main statement, painting it onto an 18 × 24 canvas.
In the bottom corner of the canvas, I added a series of stacked vellum pages that I hand-stitched directly onto the surface. Each page features a different phrase from my manifesto, carefully designed in a typographic style that is both simple and exploratory.
My goal was to combine minimal design with bold, playful concepts. The main phrase of the manifesto is intentionally presented in a way that makes it difficult to immediately digest, reflecting the tone of my written words. I want viewers to feel as though they must work to uncover the ideas within the manifesto.
